Professional Development Offerings to Assist Adults in caring for themselves.

  • School leaders strive to build a culture of trust and collaboration, but happiness and fun are a bonus! How does a school leader do it all? How do we build structures that guarantee a positive and engaged culture? The needs of students and adults are the same. By focusing on clear communication, recognition, connection, play, voice, and choice, school leaders can construct an environment in which adults and children thrive simultaneously. Through practical strategies and research that highlight the possibility of a more energized, engaged, and empowered culture, participants will learn why happiness and leadership can coexist.

  • Anxiety can be described as a state of being overwhelmed, futuristic thinking, and perfectionism, followed by physiological symptoms that grip and paralyze us. “Anxiety” is not a permanent state. Our symptoms are a flow of thoughts and feelings we choose to call anxiety; therefore, we never have anxiety. Identifying ourselves as having anxiety and trying to get rid of it has been working against us, and we are forming a deeper relationship with it. In this workshop you will learn a completely different perspective of anxiety and come to the realization that it is positive. We will use mindfulness practices to help us understand this shift in thinking.
